Lord,
Today, while driving to Lisburn,
I listened to that tune “Calm Me, Lord”
and I had this sense
that you intensely want me
to follow you.
And you were so excited
about it!
Your desire was so strong
that it brought tears
to my eyes.
And the sense of excitement!
I was only a child,
of course,
as usual!
And I felt
that I was swept up
into your arms
and onto your shoulders
as you rushed forwards,
laughing, exclaiming,
“This is Good News!
We’re off on an adventure!”
Such a sense of joy,
a sense of all that God is offering
to us all.
A shift in focus,
a tiny glimpse
of my life …
… through God’s eyes.
